What exactly does a Registered Nurse do?
My mom was a nurse and is now the director of the birth-giving floor or whatever. She absolutely does not give any clear details at all at what she did.
I’m planning on being a nurse and I want do things like assist the Dr. during medical procedures.. is there a choice for that or is it just one of the things they can do? Do you make choices on your own while you’re on the job or do higher ranking people tell you what to do?
I also heard about a shortage of RNs but my mom says that it’ll be hard for me to find a job (I think she doesn’t want me to become a nurse).
seriously…there are soooo many different things you ca do in nursing you should really google “different kinds of nursing job”, i bet 80 million things will pop up. and ya, it doesn’t sound like you mom wants you to be a nurse, because there is a shortage and they are in high demand. Not to mention it is one of the most secure jobs with way better then average pay and great benefits. if you want to be a nurse then go for it!
